50 Shades of Grey Hype

Description

I think pretty much of the entire world has heard of one of the most popular and best-selling book up to date, 50 Shades of Grey. If you haven't, then you must be living under a rock :P

Seriously, the books have swept across like wild fire, sitting comfortably in the Top 10 books right now. Everyone is talking about it. Everyone is rushing to the stores or order the books online. Because it's a fast selling book, many shops have to order loads of copies in.

There's been a few documentaries about the books on TV, along with authors doing their own parody version.

But here's the question that I'm asking: What's all the fuss about the 50 Shades of Grey book?

Now, I've been a great lover of books ever since I was a child. You can call me an avid reader. However I'm just curious about Shades of Grey simply because I'm not on the official bandwagon so to speak. I know many women who have read the book is charmed with the sexy hero, Christian Grey, with his passionate, romantic, turbulent and tragic affair with Anna, the main female character.

What surprised me the most is my mum went out and bought all the books and is currently reading the first book. It's funny because unlike me, my mother hasn't been a book worm/lover. In fact years ago she bought a book, read a few pages of it and then soon forgot all about it. But when she heard her friends talk about the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy, she was interested.

I don't know too much about the book in order to make a judgement. But all I know is that there are quite a few sex scenes and they are very hot so I've heard.

So, what do you guys think about the books? Have you read them or not? Did you like them or did you hate them?

The book is a blatant rip off of Twilight, my Mother is reading them. And I hate it, although I am not personally a fan of Twilight, this is essentially Twilight with more Sex and BDSM. Grey is Edward Cullen, Jose is Jacob Black, and Anastasia is Bella. I'm not too keen on it, and Stephanie Meyer, I think during an interview, she said she ''hasn't read it'' because it is ''too smutty'', see, the book is just a blatant rip off of another book, with no vampires and more sex and bondage.
