Literature Text

Before I allow myself to
Explain, a grenade is lobbed
Deep inside my opened mouth.
With a fierce glint burning
In your dark eyes, you gave
Yourself away as the culprit.

The more you shove words down
My throat, the less oxygen
My tired lungs shall recieve.
Nothing excites you apart from
Twisting everything I say into
Something you want to envision.
This is a poem for 18th May in celebration of Poetry Appreciation Challenge 2014 (writing one poem per day from 8/5/14 to 8/7/14)
