Even though Carolina wasn’t much of a jewellery woman, opting not to wear diamonds or pearls, she still kept York’s silver signet ring.
2.Hero
Everyone would always wonder why York called Carolina “Champ”; it’s simply because he admired her warrior’s spirit and unrelenting courage.
3.Memory
Carolina gasped as soon as her green eyes locked eyes with the familiar man’s warm chocolate brown eyes – memories of the unforgettable night of passion came flooding back when she realised it was the same guy who she met at Club Errera all those months ago.
4.Box
York, torn between the box of dark chocolates and candy canes, decided both was good enough for a small gift for Carolina’s upcoming birthday.
5.Run
A half asleep York continued to watch his fellow Freelancer agent practice her hand to hand combat, losing count of how many times her determined voice drawled out, “Run it again” whenever she completed each training exercise.
6.Hurricane
Instantly York found himself on the defence, blocking and evading while swooping his upper body down to avoid Carolina’s floury of well executed strikes.
7.Wings
Turning his head to one side on the pillow, York wore a slightly stunned expression on his face when a half naked Carolina slithered out of his bed – was that a tattoo of an angel’s wings on her lower back?
8.Cold
Shivering lightly in deep slumber, Carolina felt icy chills running up and down her body until she felt her lover’s arms lock around her in a protective embrace.
9.Red
In York’s opinion, Carolina was one of the sexiest redheads he had ever met – not only she had the beautiful looks of a graceful model, but she had no fear in speaking her mind in any situation.
10.Drink
Since York drank nothing but black coffee when he was off-duty, Carolina thought it would be awesome to buy him a colourful array of personalised coffee mugs.
11.Midnight
“Sleep is for the weak, York,” the turquoise armoured Freelancer remarked, ignoring his insistent attempts in persuading her to stop training in the middle of the night.
12.Temptation
The urge to ask the female Freelancer to marry him frequently plagued York’s mind; only thing was finding the right time sometimes proved rather difficult.
13.View
Sometimes they’d speak of their future together after the war ending; one of the things they agreed on was buying an apartment overlooking the breath-taking views of the city of New Alexandria.
14.Music
The combination of a male’s hellish screeching mixed with the pounding bass tones of the awful song prompted York to turn to his new female companion in the nightclub, saying “And they call this decent music, huh?”
15.Silk
Carefully he untied the crimson hair from her ponytail, gently threading his fingers through her silky hair before taking Carolina’s mouth in a passionate kiss.
16.Cover
Carolina’s idea of Wyoming covering her in a fire fight never failed to entertain York, especially when she resorted to threats whenever the British Freelancer refused to move up and draw the enemy’s fire.
17.Promise
“I’m not going to leave your side ever,” York whispered, and for a brief moment he wondered if Carolina heard him in her comatose state.
18.Dream
York’s dream was rather simple some may say – he wanted more than anything in the world to provide happiness and love for the emerald eyed creature who stole his heart.

“Okay, if I buy you that lavender scented candle you’re after, will you give me back that lighter?” York asked, still slightly taken back that somehow Carolina seemed to have taken another lighter from him.
20.Talent
“Hey, think you put your talented hands to use and help me out of these damned clothes?” Carolina growled throatily, her lithe body nestling rather seductively against York’s door frame.
21.Silence
On a Pelican en route to the Mother of Invention York enjoyed Carolina’s companionable silence, his hand gently squeezing hers as a way of saying he was immensely proud of her.
22.Journey
“She only took me with her on the account of my smouldering good looks,” York jokingly boasted to Wash, referring to the time when they made that six hours long trip to Reach.
23.Fire
In order to impress Carolina on their fifth date, York decided to cook them a romantic dinner – everything was going well until their steaks went up in flames.
24.Strength
Both of them had an unspoken agreement – if one of them were to stumble and fall into the pit of failure or despair, the other automatically gives them the strength to bounce back quickly.

In the presence of her fellow Freelancers, Carolina’s face was covered with a mask of steely determination; the only person who was allowed to remove that protective layer from her was none other than York.

In light of Red vs Blue Season 13 coming out on the 1st April, I decided to write a little something involving Carolina and York.
I actually came to support this pairing a long time ago despite the fact before the Freelancer story explored in Seasons 9 and 10 I had plans to pair up York with my Freelancer OC, Tennessee. In a way everything worked out and Tenne is more than happy with her rival/lover, Arizona, another OC I created.
Back to York and Carolina, I love how their personalities seem to mesh and blend together quite well. I think he's the only one who lets her see the happy and relaxed side of life in spite of living up to her reputation of being the best.
It's a real shame that nothing really became out of their romance as Wyoming killed York and Carolina was supposed to be dead when in fact she was alive. If I were Carolina I would have stopped at nothing to track him down despite the whole Meta and the whole throwing Carolina off the side of the cliff thing. What really made it sad and bittersweet was York held onto the belief that he would come across her someday and try to have a good life together.

Pretty nice - this really does shed more light a relation that i wish got more chemistry - that again it has enough chemistry to generate many fan headcanons the work so well - like this one
